An Introduction to Palmistry |

![]() In Palmistry, the mounts are fleshy areas on the palm of the hand. There are three of four at the base of the fingers, at the base of the thumb and two areas on the inner and outer edges of the hand. Not everyone has noticeable mounts in all these areas and the quality of the mount can very greatly between people. The mount can be different between a persons two hands, and can change overtime as a person’s life and health changes. To read the mounts, a palm reader feels the texture, elasticity and fullness of these areas. In general, the fuller and softer the mounts; the stronger the characteristic associated with that area. For example, a full Mars may indicate an aggressive person; while a flat Venus would appear on an emotionally distant person. The Mounts of the hands may be elevated, flat, or depressed.
